Department of Commerce III established in the year 2018-2019 with five faculties. It had provided two courses for students. They are B.Com Corporate Secretaryship & B.Com Information Technology with the strength of the students for the courses as follows – B.Com – 45 & B.Com IT – 55. We created awareness among students about the significance of CA, ACS, and CMA courses. We insisted our students to join the courses.

We provide ICT classrooms for teaching. We assign Internship programs for students and organizing Guest Lectures. We encourage the students in research activities and boost them for paper presentations and publications in various colleges. We also allow the students to participate in sports and culture which is organized by other colleges.

There are seven faculties in the Department of Commerce III.  We had one net cleared faculty and six FDP attended faculties. We tie-up with two organizations one is “Covai Akila India Tamil Sangam” and the other one is “Kurinchi Magalir Sindhanaikalam Amaippu” which helps our students to develop creativity. We organized fifteen Guest Lectures and five Industrial Visits for students. We had multi-talented students who are constantly proving themselves in academics and nonacademics.

Guest Lectures

  • We organized a Guest lecture – Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary Awareness program on July 26th, 2019 handled by Mr. K.Jayakumar
  • Our Department of Commerce III had conducted a guest lecture on IT management was presented by Ms. B. POORVAJA, Team Leader, State Street Leader in Students of I B.com CS & IT eagerly attend the lecture and they got benefited. It was organized by Ms. R. Saroja Devi, Assistant Professor on 24th July 2018 at S207
  • Our Department of Commerce III had organized a guest lecture on ROLE OF ENGLISH IN MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION. It was organized by Ms. S. Sylvia Mercy Jebakumari, Assistant Professor. in English on 20th August 2018 at 301. She invited Mr. Sounther Kirubakar, (Team Leader, Nuance Transcription Services, and Coimbatore) as a resource person. Students from I B.com CS & IT eagerly participated in the lecture and they got benefited.
  • Kumudha Devi, Dean of Commerce organized a guest lecture on Investor’s Protection and Celebration of Word Investor’s Week 2019. It was presented by Mr. Sathish on 1st Oct 2019
  • We the Department of Commerce III had conducted a guest lecture on LEVELS OF MANAGEMENT. It was organized by Ms. R. Saroja Devi, Assistant Professor on 24th Jan 2019 at S207. She invited Mr. Jagdish Kumar Lead Engineer, HCL, and Coimbatore as a resource person. Students from I B.Com CS & IT eagerly attend the lecture and they got benefitted.
  • Our Department of Commerce III had conducted a guest lecture on CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT. It was organized by Mr. S. Harikaran, Assistant Professor and Head on 31st August 2018 at S208. She invited Mr. Gowtham, CRM, Reliance Fresh, and Coimbatore as a resource person. Students from I B.com CS & IT eagerly attend the lecture and they got benefitted.
  • C.Kanimozhi organized a guest lecture on Breach of Contract. It was presented by Ms. B.Sajeena Begum, SHEA Immigration, Coimbatore on 8th Jan 2020
  • M. M. Vishnu organized a guest lecture on the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association. It was presented by Ms. Arthi G.V, Alumni, Student of Law College, Coimbatore on 9th Jan 2020.
  • K. Shabna organized a guest lecture on “How to get ready for a job interview”. It was presented by Mr. Jagadeesh First Level Manager at VWR International, Coimbatore on 6th Feb 2020. Through the guest, lecture students got the confidence to face interviews.
  • Hariharan organized a guest lecture on “Office Automation”. It was presented by Ms. M. Jaya Chitra on 9th Oct 2018. Through the guest lecture, students got vivid knowledge in Office Automation.
  • R. Saroja Devi organized a guest lecture on Goods and Service Tax. It was presented by Mr. Rajesh on 18th Sep 2018.
  • Balgis Anbia organized guest lectures on How to behave in front of customers. It was presented by M.Hari Baskar, Aash’N’Bash Food Products on 25th Jan 2020.  Through this guest lecture, students understood how to handle customers.
  • R. Saroja Devi organized a guest lecture on GST It was presented by Mr. D. Rajesh on 18th Aug 2018
  • M. Romeo organized a guest lecture on Digital Marketing. It was presented by Mr. Anand on 9th Dec 2019. Through the guest lecture, students got vivid knowledge of Digital Marketing.

Industrial Visits

  • We have visited A.M Sekar & Co. with 40 students of I-B.COM (CS) on 31 January 2019. The visit offered insight into Accounting Procedure in a large scale Business concern and it is organized by Ms. R. Saroja Devi This is a better opportunity to gain practical exposure to Accounting practices.
  • Aswanth Offset is located in Vadavalli, Coimbatore. Aswanth Offer is a Private incorporated on Registered in 2012; Aswanth Offset has gained immense expertise in offering Offset printing services, book printing services, etc. Providing Offset printing services, book printing services to the clients. It is involved in printing all the paper materials. We have visited Aswanth Offset with 55 students of I-B.COM (IT) on 31 December 2018. The Visit offered insight into the functioning of printing machines. This is a better opportunity to gain practical exposure to starting a printing industry. It helps us to build a good relationship between the students and industry for getting an employment opportunity and internship etc. These kinds of visits will create students’ awareness of their industrial process. It brings out the student’s skill to approach the  Business world more confidently.
  • We have visited Laser Park Publishing House with 41 students of I – B.COM (CS) on 24th July 2018. The visit offered insight into the functions of the various publishing process of the industry in real-time. This is a better opportunity to gain knowledge about Raw material management, the Production Process of publishing books and Machine Operating Process, Accounting methods, etc. It helps to build a good relationship between the students and industry for getting an employment opportunity and new entrepreneurs in the future etc. It gives better practical exposure to the production process, Accounting & Financial aspects, and marketing strategies. These kinds of visits will make the students aware of the industrial process which makes the students come out of their shells and approach the world of business more confidently and also it creates an interest to learn more.
  • Our Students participated and won state-level champions in the Kabbadi team at Udumalapet
