Department of Commerce with Business Process Services is a core business activity in the corporate sector. BPS is the IT area with high demand in human resources for Business Process Management software tools under web services that have emerged as the most exciting and preferred career choice for many. The course is innovative in nature and is itself an MoU with TCS along with Bharathiar University. Students undergoing this programme will develop requisite conceptual and application skills for this industry. After the completion of this degree programme, employability is promising in the BPS industry in managing business process services such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance Industries, Tourism, and Health Care amongst others. Likelihood  getting placed in reputed companies including TCS increases manifold.

B.Com (BPS) program differs from other programs because the curriculum is designed based on industry requirements, giving ample opportunity for placement. On completion of the programme, it equips the student to work in any core area which is related to the commerce industry.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

PSO1: Possess high-level knowledge and application skills in the domain of commerce and business process services.
PSO2: Identify the niches in multinational companies and formulate Secretarial Solutions.  Sharpen the students’ abilities to go for situational decision making.
PSO3: Job-ready as per the requirements of different types of business organizations, in particular the IT industry.
PS04: Apply ethical principles and maintain a high degree of secrecy.  Acquire skills competence that would enable the student highly talented business executives.
