Armstrong has been an academician, educator, and architect who graduated his B.Arch from NIT Bhopal and holds a Masters’s degree in Housing. His specializations are Furniture Design, Residential Design, and Design of Housing Layouts. As an academician his interventions in the areas of Climatology, History of Architecture, Basic Design, and Architectural Drawing are profound and his interests extend to ecology, high-rise and urban planning oriented topics. His is also interested in writing poetry on love, human relationship, and contemporary social issues.

Kathiresan Manoharan is the academic head of architectural studies in Rathinam School of Architecture and offers a definite inclusive background. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the Anna University and earned an M.Arch. in Urban Design from the School of Built Environment, University of Nottingham, UK. He processes a truly global outlook enriched by his experience as a leader and a team player in prestigious multi-cultural and multi-ethnic design groups.

Kathiresan Manoharan has collaborated as an architect and urban designer in several leading architectural practices in India. During his experience as Project Architect, he has worked on many highly acclaimed projects ranging from sustainable satellite settlements, institutional architecture, mass housing to commercial office buildings, and luxury villas. Also, he has lead teams in design competitions at regional and international levels which have won appreciation for its thematic content.

Within his academic background, Kathiresan Manoharan has taught at the Marg Institute of Design and Architecture, Swarna Bhoomi as a professor in residence. He is actively involved in architectural discourse and has been invited as speaker and panelist in International seminars pertaining to Urbanism. Besides his focus on Architecture and Urbanism, he is involved in the research about Geometry and its impact on the activity of the brain and the body.

Shankari is a free-spirited person with a carrier interest in architecture and design education. She has graduated in architecture from Anna university and due to her inherent inquisitiveness, she went on to pursue her masters in general architecture. Besides her carrier interest in architecture education, she is a freelance graphic designer and qualified animator. Her creativity has found expression as online comics, stop motion animations,.etc….. besides her role as a designer she is equally passionate about empowering and providing knowledge support to the underprivileged.

Kanagadara.V is geek enthusiastic about software and its application in Architectural Design and inquiry. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Anna University and owing to her interest in energy-efficient and climate-responsive Architecture she went on to do her Masters in Advanced Design. On completing her education she joined an emerging Architectural practice to pursue her professional aspirations. Over time, while in pursuit of identifying the self, she developed a passion for Architectural academia, which consequentially led her to evolve as an inspirational teacher.

Having been brought up in a culturally rich, traditional environment she always had a love for traditional arts and Crafts, heritage buildings, and indigenous construction techniques which led her to extensively document the Chettinadu Building Crafts practiced in Karaikudi for INTACH. Besides her venture into design education, she is perusing a research-based practice to create meaningful and context empathetic architecture.

Shyam is a passionate and enthusiastic design professional associated with the Rathinam School of Architecture in the capacity of assistant professor. He completed his graduation in Architecture from KAHE and took to teaching owing to his love for inquisitive kids and knowledge sharing. Shyam besides being an academician has an inclination towards Urbanism, a found interest when he worked as a Research Assistant and Program Coordinator in Informal Settlements Research Project under Building Inclusive Urban Communities (BINUCOM) organized by Danube University, Europe. As a young and evolving architect, Shyam seeks to find expression for his learning’s though designing meaningful community based and religious projects. His appetite for teaching makes him take the extra mile where he does restrict his sharing knowledge with college students alone; he involves himself in empowering underprivileged school children in every means possible.

Sri Pranap is a dynamic academician with a keen interest in formulating customized methodologies for imparting engineering subjects to Architecture students. He is a qualified civil engineer by profession with graduation from Anna University and due to his keen interest in concrete technology went on to pursue his masters in structural engineering from the Institute of Road and Transport Technology. Before joining Rathinam School of Architecture, Pranap had served in several prestigious institutions at various academic capacities. During his tenure at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai he has worked on a funded research project sponsored by the Govt. of India – Department of Science and Technology – Science and Engineering Research Board. Sri Pranap owing to his dynamism and willingness to push his own limits has organized and as well actively participated in international and national conferences and symposiums on the subject of his interest. To his credit, he has published 3 papers in the National conference, 2 papers in International conference, and 1 paper in International Journal of Civil Engineering – SSRG. Pranap is an active life member of Indian Society for Technical Education and is always willing to deliver lectures on his domain to curious knowledge savvy communities.
